The MSc in Clinical and Translational Research is delivered by faculty in the UCD School of Medicine & Medical Science and aims to train the next generation of investigators who will lead cutting edge clinical research into the future. Delivered on a full and part-time basis, participants will complete modules in:

1. Clinical Protocol Development
2. Clinical Trials
3. Data Management & Biostatistics
4. Laboratory Medicine
5. Clinical Trial Management
6. Clinical & Translational Research
7. Research project & thesis

Throughout the programme participants will gain significant practical experience and real world understanding of clinical research in action. This includes:

1. Developing a clinical trial protocol and gaining experience in critically appraising clinical research.
2. Building a database for a clinical trial
3. Getting trained in data analysis using SPSS
4. Completing an internship at the UCD Clinical Research Centre
5. Completing sample processing and analysis laboratory practicals
